I am often asked this question. Do I need to have 1 blog or do I need to run multiple blogs to earn a decent income online?  Many would say it’s wise to concentrate on one blog at a time while many would like to work on multiple blogs at a time. If you actually think about it both the methods have their own advantages and disadvantages.

Let’s Consider a Scenario

Say you’re proud owner of multiple blogs. You work on Blog A, Blog B, Blog C and Blog D. Each of your blogs gives you on an average $10 per week. To be honest $10 in a week does not sound too exciting. However if you take into consideration 4 blogs you’re actually earning around $40 per week from all your blogs. Hmm, not bad right especially when you’re just a beginner and blogging is just your part time business.

Now let’s speak about the negative aspect of running multiple blogs simultaneously. It’s quite possible you might not be able to associate sufficient time to each blog and thereby affect the performance of your blog.

My Vote Goes to Multiple Blogging

I would never want to keep all my eggs in one basket. I would never want to risk earning from just 1 blog all my life. You just can’t be dependent on one blog to help yourself earn money online blogging. No matter how popular the blog is you never know what might happen tomorrow. It’s always a wise thing to be associated with different blogs. Just say if in case one of your blogs is sandboxed by Google or for that matter lacks the X factor and does not generate good income. You need to have additional blogs to make up for the not so good ones. Moreover having multiple blogs also gives me an opportunity to earn an average income from each one and thereby earn a big Total Income.

I would like to hear from you. How many blogs do you own? Do you prefer to work on just one blog or multiple blogs. Your suggestions are welcome.
